Colourpop Highlighter in "Hippo" Review and Swatches

I recently put in my first Colourpop order and one of the items I purchased is a highlight in the shade Hippo. If you are not familiar with Colourpop, they are a LA based cosmetic company and most known for their lip colors and eyeshadows. They have a very low price point with most items in the $5-10 range. This highlights are $8.00. If you are a new customer you can sign up and receive a $5 off coupon code. All of their face products are a soft cream and are best applied with your fingers or a flat synthetic brush. You can purchase these products at colourpop.com.

I have been on the hunt for a cool, purple toned highlight which is why I chose the shade Hippo. This shade reminds me a lot of Nars Copacabana, which I absolutely love. The texture of these highlighters is a bouncy cream like texture. It kind of reminds me of the Maybelline bouncy blushes, but maybe a little less bouncy.

This shade is more on the sheer side, but I found that I could easily build it up by applying a few layers. The best way I found to apply it is with your fingers. This shade is really beautiful and looks really pretty with a cool tone eye look. I really recommend checking out Colourpop products. So far I have had good luck with most of their products and I love the low price.

I hope you liked this review and if you have any products you would like me to review make sure to leave me a comment! (:

Too Faced Park Avenue Kissed Holiday 2016 | Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I am reviewing the Too Faced Park Avenue Kisses set. This set is available at Ulta and toofaced.com. In this set you receive 2 full size La Creme lipsticks in Sugar Daddy and Pink Chocolate,  and a full size La Matte lipstick in Rebel Heart. This set is $29.00 which is amazing because one of these lipsticks is $22.00!

In this set you also get a cute little makeup bag. I love the Too Faced Holiday collection packaging. It is adorable!

The Too Faced La Creme lipsticks are one of my favorite lipstick formula's. They are very comfortable and smooth. They don't settle into your lip lines and they have a little bit of a glossy finish which I like. I actually feel like these lipsticks make my lips look bigger, not sure how, but I love the look it gives. The only issue I have with these is that they do not last very long. If you drink a coffee or eat a meal you do need to re-aply. The two colors in this set are beautiful and perfect for winter.

I love that the set includes the matte red shade. I personally find myself wearing red lipstick the most around Christmas time.  It is comfortable and applies smoothly, but does lack the glossy finish because it is matte. This formula is more long wearing due to the fact that it is matte. I love this formula just as much as the La creme formula.

L-R Pink Chocolate, Sugar Daddy, Rebel Heart

I hope you have enjoyed this review. If there are any other Holiday sets you would like me to review let me know in a comment below.

Bare Minerals Meet Gen Nude Mini Matte Lip Set Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! So sorry for my lack of blog posts lately, but so much life has been going on. Today I am really excited about sharing my review of this Bare Minerals mini lip set. This set is sold at Ulta and Ulta.com and costs $15.00.  It comes with a Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip in Bo$$ and a Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss in Sugar. You get 0.06oz of product in each lip color.

I love the formula of this liquid lipstick. It is kind of like a mousse texture and remains me a lot if the Tarte Lip paints. It is a very comfortable formula and it does not make my lips feel crusty or stiff. It is not going to last you all day, but it does last a few hours and through eating/drinking. I love the color so much! It reminds me a lot of Nyx soft spoken and Kat Von D lolita.

I also really love the lip gloss in this set. It is a perfect pinky nude and this lays on the lips so beautifully. This lipgloss is on the thicker side, but it does not settle into the lines on your lips. I really do not like when lipgloss settles into my lip lines so I was happy that this one did not. The formula is a little sticky but smooth. I love this one.

Overall, I really like this mini lip set. I love sets that allow to try different formulas/colors for the price of one full size product. I would highly recommend trying out this set if you get the chance. Great quality and worth the price!

Thanks again for reading my review and if you have any comments or suggestions, leave them below!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios Fall 2016 Collection Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I am going to be reviewing the last product in the Wet N Wild 2016 Fall Collection! Wet N Wild has added two eyeshadows trios to this collection. If you are familiar with Wet N Wild then you know they make some amazing eyeshadows for an amazingly low price. The trios cost $2.99 and may be available at your local drugstore, but if you can't find them in store check out wetnwildbeauty.com.

On the left you have Velour Vixen and on the right is Plaid To The Bone.

The formula of these shadows is so buttery and soft, but not so soft that they are super powdery. The only shade I had fall out with was the white highlight shade in Velour Vixen.  They are so pigmented, but I do think Plaid to the Bone has more intense pigment especially when it comes to the two metallic shades. These shadows blend beautifully and are well worth the $2.99.  If you can find these trios I definitely suggest purchasing them.

This post concludes my review of the full Wet N Wild 2016 Fall Collection. I have to say that they eyeshadows were my favorite products in the collection followed by the liquid lipsticks. Have you tried anything from this collection? If so, let me know in the comments!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Matte Liquid Lipstick Fall Collection 2016 Review and Swatches

Hey guys! So sorry that I have not posted this past week. My laptop was not working, but I finally got it up and running. I wanted to continue on my reviews of the Wet N Wild Fall Collection. Today I am going to review the matte liquid lipsticks. There are 4 lipsticks in the collection and they are $2.99 each. These are available at the drugstore, if they carry the collection, and on wetandwildbeauty.com.

The packaging is very sleek and looks like you payed more than $2.99. They come with a sticker around the top to prevent you from opening in the store, but this sticker leaves behind a sticky residue that does not come off! You can probably see in the picture below what looks like smudges around the top of the lipsticks. I tried so hard to get it off, but I was not able to get it perfectly clean.

I love all four shades in this collection! These are very pigmented and very long wearing. Once these lipsticks set on your lips do not expect them to come off without some scrubbing. The only downfall to these is that they are not very comfortable. I personally felt that they were a tad sticky and just made my lips feel like they couldn't breathe. I still do like them and you can definitely count on them if you need your lip color to last. For a price tag of $2.99 I can't complain much about these.

L to R: Too Tulip To Quit, How Fleek Is Your Love, Take It Like A Vamp, Don't Be A Plum-Plum

Have you tried these liquid lipsticks? If you have, let me know in the comments which shade you like best.

Wet N Wild Color Icon Colored Mascara Fall Collection 2016 Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great Labor Day weekend! This week I am going to be bringing you reviews on the full Wet n Wild 2016 Fall Collection, starting with the colored mascara. These retail for $2.99 and can be found in the drugstore and www.wetnwildbeauty.com.

I wish that I didn't have to start off with a bad review, but I do not love these. I would not really consider these a mascara because the only thing they change about your lashes is the color. These are more of a lash paint. I love the color selection and think they are great on the lower lash for a pop of color, but they won't change the length or volume of your lashes. I do like the shade Unbreakable Bronze for a no makeup-makeup look. These are also great for halloween and even the green would be great for a fun Christmas look. These are great if you are looking to change the color of your lashes, but that is all they are going to do.

Sapphire Night Live, Green as a Thistle, Glamethyst Rock, Unbreakable Bronze

Is swatching mascara even a thing? (:

Make sure your check back this week for the rest of the Wet n Wild Fall collection.

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette Review and Swatches

Hey guys! Today I wanted to review the Carly Bybel BH Cosmetics collaboration palette. If you do not know, Carli Bybel is a Beauty Youtuber with over 4 million subscribers. She has a really great channel so be sure to check her out. This palette can be found on the bh cosmetics website and it is also available at Ulta. The palette only costs 14.50!!! That is a really good price for 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlight.

The packaging is make of cardboard which I personally do not love. There is a decent mirror on the inside with the quote "Aspire to Inspire".

I am so excited about the highlights in this palette! These are amazing quality and so pigmented. The way they blend remind me of the Becca shimmering skin perfecters, but a quarter of the price. The two lightest shades are my favorite and the only two I can use because my skin is so fair. I would buy this palette just for the highlights. I have been reaching for it over my beloved becca champagne pop highlight, so that is saying something.

I need to rave about the shadows in this palette too. I love the color selection and the mix of shimmers and mattes. These are the only eyeshadows I have been wearing this month. They are pigmented, easy to blend, and there is no fall out. I use a primer before I apply shadow and these last a long time with the primer. I don't know how they would do on their own though.

Bottom row L-R

I still can't believe this palette is only $14.50! It has quickly become one of my all time favorites. If you have this palette or are thinking of purchasing it, let me know in the comments below. (:

August 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag | Sugar Highness

Hey everyone! It feels like forever since I have posted anything. We bought a house and are in the midst of unpacking. We still have a ton left to do, but I wanted to share what I go in this months ipsy bag. If you don't know, ipsy is a subscription service that cost $10.00 a month and you receive 5 deluxe samples/full size beauty products and makeup bag. If you are interested in sighing up here is the link www.ipsy.com. (:

I really like what I got in this months bag and the bag itself is really cute.

This lip balm by Jersey Shore Sun was my least favorite product. It is a good lip balm and I have been using it a lot, but it was a little underwhelming.

This Beau Gachis Paris Pro Series sponge is so good! It is just as good as the Real Techniques sponge, but I prefer the pointed tip of this one. I am so happy I got to try this out!

The next thing I got are these Symphony Beauty makeup wipes. I like these and they do remove your makeup well. These are not game changers, but they work well.

OMG! I LOVE this Nomad eyeshadow in the shade "spice market." The name of the eyeshadow is so cute. This shadow is so pigmented and creamy and the color is just beautiful.

The last product in my glam bag is the Tarte Lipsurgence lip cream in "Wonder." I have never tried the Tarte lipsurgence, but I have heard that they are really good. I love this color and the minty smell. It lasts such a long time on the lips. I posted a picture of me wearing this lip on instagram if you want to check it out. (kissandmakeupangela)

Thanks again for stopping by my blog. I hope you enjoyed this post (:

L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Pink Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to bring to you a quick review on the L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Lip! This lip palette can be found at the drugstore and Ulta. It retails between $14.99 - $16.99 depending on where you buy it. It comes with 3 matte shades, 4 glossy shades, and a highlight.

The matte shades are the 3 brightest shades and I would say they are more like a lip stain. After I did these swatches my arm had three pink stains on it the rest of the day. The rest of the colors are more glossy, but not sticky. They have a very slippery smooth texture and are not very long wearing. You definitely have to re-apply after an hour or so. When  I first touched the highlight shade I got no pigment and it just felt like straight oil. After a few swatches I got some color and I actually really like the affect it gives on the lips. I am surprised I like the highlight because when I purchased it I had no intention of using that shade. I love that about makeup! You never know what will look good until you try it!

This fourth shade in is my favorite! It reminds me a lot of Revlon "primrose" which is one of my favorite lipsticks.

I really like this lip palette. It is a little pricey, but you if you can get it on sale or use a coupon it isn't that bad considering you get 8 different shades. There is also a nude and plum version of this palette, but the pinks were the colors that appealed to me the most.

I hope you found this review helpful! Do you have this palette? Do you plan on purchasing it? Let me know in the comments below! (:

ULTA Miss Fabulous Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I am so sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. I went away with my husband and then I broke the SD card to my camera. I finally got it in the mail and got some time to take some pictures for this review! Today I am going to review the Ulta Miss Fabulous palette.  This palette is an Ulta collaboration with Youtuber, Miss Jen Fabulous. I have watched her videos for years so I was excited to try out her palette. It is obviously sold at Ulta and Ulta.com. This palette retails for $20.00 and because it is the Ulta brand you can use the $3.50 off $15.00 coupon (found on the Ulta website), making it $16.50. Not a bad price for an eyeshadow palette.

This palette comes with 12 shadows, 3 are matte and 9 are shimmery. It comes with a flat top brush that is a really cute pink and rose gold color. The brush is soft and works well applying color on the lid or brow bone. The packaging is made of cardboard and has a mauve quilted print.

The back contains a picture of Jenny Fox and a small paragraph about the palette.

I have never used Ulta eyeshadows before so I did not know what to expect from them. First thing that I really liked about the palette is that the names of the shadows all have meanings behind them. She explains them all in a video so make sure you check out her channel!

I love Virgo because it is the perfect brow bone highlight shade and fab is the perfect transition color for me. I had a hard time swatching Polished because it is so close to my skin tone so I apologize about that. These four shades are perfect for an everyday neutral eye and this is what I have been wearing lately. These shadows are a little powdery in my opinion, but as I have said in other posts, that does not bother me. I used a primer with these shadows and they lasted most of the day. I have two small children and one of them was covering my eyes playing peek a boo and the shadow even lasted through that. So, if you do not have small children rubbing your face these shadows should last all day! (:

I was very interested in trying these orange shades and surprisingly I actually like the pop of color. These will be beautiful shades once fall arrives.

These four shades are the smokey ones of the palette and Mitten is easily becoming one of my favorite outer corner shades. The only shade that I really don't like on my skin tone is Louis. The color just does not look right on my skin.

I really like this palette and I really think it is worth the price. The shadows are pigmented, they blend well, and there is a nice color selection. If you are looking for some back to school eyeshadows I think this would be a great palette because it is neutral, but still has some pops of color with the orange. Let me know if you plan to buy this palette or if you already have! (:

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you found this review helpful!

Dupe for Becca x Jaclyn Hill Amaretto and Pamplemousse blush swatches

Hey everyone! After I did my review of the e.l.f blush palette I thought that two of the shades in the palette looked familiar to me. It didn't take long for me to realize I had found some dupes for the Becca x Jaclyn Hill blushes in Amaretto and Pamplemousse! I have the limited edition face palette that is no longer available, but you are still able to get these shades in the split pans that are sold at Sephora. If you do not want to spend the money ($32.00) here are some dupes that will only cost you $6.00!

As you can see the e.l.f dupe for Pamplemousse is dead on. I could not believe how exact these two shades were. The only difference between them is the e.l.f blush has some small shimmer, but it really doesn't transfer to the skin, and pamplemousse is matte.

R: e.l.f Blush palette light  L: Becca Pamplemousse

This next dupe is not exact, but it is pretty darn close. The e.l.f blush leans more warm/orange and Amaretto is more neutral/brown tone. I noticed if you blend the e.l.f shade out it loses some of that warmness.

I hope that you liked this post and you found it helpful! I was really excited to find this dupe and share it with you all! (:
