ULTA Miss Fabulous Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I am so sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. I went away with my husband and then I broke the SD card to my camera. I finally got it in the mail and got some time to take some pictures for this review! Today I am going to review the Ulta Miss Fabulous palette.  This palette is an Ulta collaboration with Youtuber, Miss Jen Fabulous. I have watched her videos for years so I was excited to try out her palette. It is obviously sold at Ulta and Ulta.com. This palette retails for $20.00 and because it is the Ulta brand you can use the $3.50 off $15.00 coupon (found on the Ulta website), making it $16.50. Not a bad price for an eyeshadow palette.

This palette comes with 12 shadows, 3 are matte and 9 are shimmery. It comes with a flat top brush that is a really cute pink and rose gold color. The brush is soft and works well applying color on the lid or brow bone. The packaging is made of cardboard and has a mauve quilted print.

The back contains a picture of Jenny Fox and a small paragraph about the palette.

I have never used Ulta eyeshadows before so I did not know what to expect from them. First thing that I really liked about the palette is that the names of the shadows all have meanings behind them. She explains them all in a video so make sure you check out her channel!

I love Virgo because it is the perfect brow bone highlight shade and fab is the perfect transition color for me. I had a hard time swatching Polished because it is so close to my skin tone so I apologize about that. These four shades are perfect for an everyday neutral eye and this is what I have been wearing lately. These shadows are a little powdery in my opinion, but as I have said in other posts, that does not bother me. I used a primer with these shadows and they lasted most of the day. I have two small children and one of them was covering my eyes playing peek a boo and the shadow even lasted through that. So, if you do not have small children rubbing your face these shadows should last all day! (:

I was very interested in trying these orange shades and surprisingly I actually like the pop of color. These will be beautiful shades once fall arrives.

These four shades are the smokey ones of the palette and Mitten is easily becoming one of my favorite outer corner shades. The only shade that I really don't like on my skin tone is Louis. The color just does not look right on my skin.

I really like this palette and I really think it is worth the price. The shadows are pigmented, they blend well, and there is a nice color selection. If you are looking for some back to school eyeshadows I think this would be a great palette because it is neutral, but still has some pops of color with the orange. Let me know if you plan to buy this palette or if you already have! (:

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you found this review helpful!
