August 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag | Sugar Highness

Hey everyone! It feels like forever since I have posted anything. We bought a house and are in the midst of unpacking. We still have a ton left to do, but I wanted to share what I go in this months ipsy bag. If you don't know, ipsy is a subscription service that cost $10.00 a month and you receive 5 deluxe samples/full size beauty products and makeup bag. If you are interested in sighing up here is the link www.ipsy.com. (:

I really like what I got in this months bag and the bag itself is really cute.

This lip balm by Jersey Shore Sun was my least favorite product. It is a good lip balm and I have been using it a lot, but it was a little underwhelming.

This Beau Gachis Paris Pro Series sponge is so good! It is just as good as the Real Techniques sponge, but I prefer the pointed tip of this one. I am so happy I got to try this out!

The next thing I got are these Symphony Beauty makeup wipes. I like these and they do remove your makeup well. These are not game changers, but they work well.

OMG! I LOVE this Nomad eyeshadow in the shade "spice market." The name of the eyeshadow is so cute. This shadow is so pigmented and creamy and the color is just beautiful.

The last product in my glam bag is the Tarte Lipsurgence lip cream in "Wonder." I have never tried the Tarte lipsurgence, but I have heard that they are really good. I love this color and the minty smell. It lasts such a long time on the lips. I posted a picture of me wearing this lip on instagram if you want to check it out. (kissandmakeupangela)

Thanks again for stopping by my blog. I hope you enjoyed this post (:

L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Pink Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to bring to you a quick review on the L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Lip! This lip palette can be found at the drugstore and Ulta. It retails between $14.99 - $16.99 depending on where you buy it. It comes with 3 matte shades, 4 glossy shades, and a highlight.

The matte shades are the 3 brightest shades and I would say they are more like a lip stain. After I did these swatches my arm had three pink stains on it the rest of the day. The rest of the colors are more glossy, but not sticky. They have a very slippery smooth texture and are not very long wearing. You definitely have to re-apply after an hour or so. When  I first touched the highlight shade I got no pigment and it just felt like straight oil. After a few swatches I got some color and I actually really like the affect it gives on the lips. I am surprised I like the highlight because when I purchased it I had no intention of using that shade. I love that about makeup! You never know what will look good until you try it!

This fourth shade in is my favorite! It reminds me a lot of Revlon "primrose" which is one of my favorite lipsticks.

I really like this lip palette. It is a little pricey, but you if you can get it on sale or use a coupon it isn't that bad considering you get 8 different shades. There is also a nude and plum version of this palette, but the pinks were the colors that appealed to me the most.

I hope you found this review helpful! Do you have this palette? Do you plan on purchasing it? Let me know in the comments below! (:

ULTA Miss Fabulous Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I am so sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. I went away with my husband and then I broke the SD card to my camera. I finally got it in the mail and got some time to take some pictures for this review! Today I am going to review the Ulta Miss Fabulous palette.  This palette is an Ulta collaboration with Youtuber, Miss Jen Fabulous. I have watched her videos for years so I was excited to try out her palette. It is obviously sold at Ulta and Ulta.com. This palette retails for $20.00 and because it is the Ulta brand you can use the $3.50 off $15.00 coupon (found on the Ulta website), making it $16.50. Not a bad price for an eyeshadow palette.

This palette comes with 12 shadows, 3 are matte and 9 are shimmery. It comes with a flat top brush that is a really cute pink and rose gold color. The brush is soft and works well applying color on the lid or brow bone. The packaging is made of cardboard and has a mauve quilted print.

The back contains a picture of Jenny Fox and a small paragraph about the palette.

I have never used Ulta eyeshadows before so I did not know what to expect from them. First thing that I really liked about the palette is that the names of the shadows all have meanings behind them. She explains them all in a video so make sure you check out her channel!

I love Virgo because it is the perfect brow bone highlight shade and fab is the perfect transition color for me. I had a hard time swatching Polished because it is so close to my skin tone so I apologize about that. These four shades are perfect for an everyday neutral eye and this is what I have been wearing lately. These shadows are a little powdery in my opinion, but as I have said in other posts, that does not bother me. I used a primer with these shadows and they lasted most of the day. I have two small children and one of them was covering my eyes playing peek a boo and the shadow even lasted through that. So, if you do not have small children rubbing your face these shadows should last all day! (:

I was very interested in trying these orange shades and surprisingly I actually like the pop of color. These will be beautiful shades once fall arrives.

These four shades are the smokey ones of the palette and Mitten is easily becoming one of my favorite outer corner shades. The only shade that I really don't like on my skin tone is Louis. The color just does not look right on my skin.

I really like this palette and I really think it is worth the price. The shadows are pigmented, they blend well, and there is a nice color selection. If you are looking for some back to school eyeshadows I think this would be a great palette because it is neutral, but still has some pops of color with the orange. Let me know if you plan to buy this palette or if you already have! (:
