Dupe for Becca x Jaclyn Hill Amaretto and Pamplemousse blush swatches

Hey everyone! After I did my review of the e.l.f blush palette I thought that two of the shades in the palette looked familiar to me. It didn't take long for me to realize I had found some dupes for the Becca x Jaclyn Hill blushes in Amaretto and Pamplemousse! I have the limited edition face palette that is no longer available, but you are still able to get these shades in the split pans that are sold at Sephora. If you do not want to spend the money ($32.00) here are some dupes that will only cost you $6.00!

As you can see the e.l.f dupe for Pamplemousse is dead on. I could not believe how exact these two shades were. The only difference between them is the e.l.f blush has some small shimmer, but it really doesn't transfer to the skin, and pamplemousse is matte.

This next dupe is not exact, but it is pretty darn close. The e.l.f blush leans more warm/orange and Amaretto is more neutral/brown tone. I noticed if you blend the e.l.f shade out it loses some of that warmness.

I hope that you liked this post and you found it helpful! I was really excited to find this dupe and share it with you all! (:

e.l.f Countour Palette review and swatches

Welcome to my last e.l.f face palette review, the contour palette. I said in my last two posts that e.l.f Cosmetics can be found at Target and www.elfcosmetics.com, but I found out today that it is now being sold at Ulta! This palette, like the last two, retails for $6.00.

I had high hopes for this one because I have heard a few beauty gurus rave about it, but this was a major fail for me. I could not get any pigment from the second highlight shade and the bronzer. I was digging my finger and brush into these shades and I got nothing. I couldn't even get a swatch for you to see. I did however like the white highlight shade and the contour shade. They both were pretty soft to the touch, a little powdery but that doesn't tend to be something that bothers me.  The white highlight has a satin finish and it is actually really pretty when applied. The contour shade is really nice as well. It leans more towards the cooler side, which I love. This is a nice contour if you are a beginner because it is a neutral color and it is not overly pigmented so you can gradually build your contour.

As I mentioned I could only get swatches of these two shades. This palette was a disappointment for me because so many people have seemed to really love it. Maybe I got a bad one?

Thank you so much for checking out my blog and I hope you enjoyed my three e.l.f face palette reviews! Please leave a comment if you want to see more el.f. reviews! (:

e.l.f Illuminating Palette review and swatches

Welcome back to my blog! (:
Today I am reviewing the e.l.f Illuminating Palette. My last post was about the e.l.f blush palette so if you have not checked it make sure you do. The illuminating palette retails for $6.00 and can be purchased at Target or www.elfcosmetics.com

I have heard so many beauty bloggers and youtubers compare this palette to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. The Hourglass powders retail for $46.00 so if this is a dupe then that is amazing. I do not own any of the Hourglass powders so I cannot tell you if this is a dupe or not. I am actually really impressed by this palette. The powder has a satin finish and looks really pretty as a highlight or finishing powder. I have been applying this with the Real Techniques Bold Metals powder brush and I really like the subtle glow effect.

This palette is really pretty and I have really been impressed by it. The shades are beautiful and the price is great! I would really recommend this palette!

e.l.f Blush Palette review & swatches

Hey everyone! I posted on twitter yesterday (https://twitter.com/MissAngela07 make sure you follow) that my next three blog posts would be on e.l.f face palettes. The one I chose to review first is the blush palette. This palette comes in two shades, light and dark. My palette is in the shade light. I buy all my e.l.f products at Target, but you can also find them at www.elfcosmetics.com. This palette retails for $6.00. That is an awesome price for four blushes.

Let's just cut to the chase....These are awesome! This is a great selection of colors and the quality of this palette is so good for the price. The pigmentation of these blushes are comparable, if not better, to high end blushes. You only have to use a small amount because they are so super pigmented. They are very blendable and have great staying power. I love that you have two warm tone shades and two cooler tones. You can use this palette for so many looks and it will carry you through all four seasons. I find that e.l.f products can be very hit or miss, but this palette is definitely a hit for me.

The first 3 shades are matte and the last one has a slight shimmer to it. These colors are just so pigmented and beautiful. I know I am going to use this palette a lot. My favorite shade is the bottom left cool tone pink. This color is very flattering for fair skin.

First two swatches are the top, last two are the bottom.

Do you have this palette? Do you like it? If there are any e.l.f products you would like me to review let me know in the comments! (:

Ipsy Glam Bag July 2016 | Hot Summer Nights | Too Faced, The Balm, and more!

Hey everyone! So sorry I have not put up a post in a few days. #momlife (:
I was really excited about this months Glam Bag because I got some pretty awesome products.

I was seriously so excited to be getting the Too Faced Hangover Rx primer. I have debated buying this for quite a while so I am really happy that I can now try it out. I have not tried it yet, but if I like it enough to buy the full size I will let you know.

I also received the Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant face mask. I am very interested in trying this because it contains hyaluronic acid, which I have never tried before. I do have sensitive skin so hopefully this doesn't burn my skin. :/

This is the Model Co Power Lash mascara and I really like this. I love getting sample sizes of mascara because you can try it out without committing to a full size.  Plus they last a good amount of time.

I am so excited about this brush. It is the Revlon powder brush in the travel size. I used this to apply blush and it worked so well. It is so soft and the perfect size to apply blush to the apples of the cheek. I love it!

Last but not least, and the most exciting product, The Balm Mr. Write (Now) eyeliner in Jac B. Bronze. This eyeliner is full size and worth $17.00!!! Considering that I only pay $10.00 for the whole Glam Bag that is an amazing deal!  I love the color of this liner and the staying power is really good. It is the perfect color for transitioning into fall.

I would have to say that this months glam Bag is the best one I have received yet. Did you like what you got in your Glam Bag this month? If you do not have Ipsy, but would like to, you can sign up by clicking this link https://www.ipsy.com/new?cid=p_share_ref&sid=link&refer=y3dh7

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Review & Swatches | Embrace, Crush, and Addiction

Hey everyone! I hope your having a great day! I wanted to tell you all about my new favorite lip product. These are they Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip colors. I have 3 shades, but there is 24 in the collection. These retail for $8.99 at Ulta.com

I love everything about these lip colors. There is a great color selection, they are affordable, and they have a fruity scent to them. These claim to be matte but they are not the type of matte that makes your lips look like dry. They go on like a lipgloss, but more pigmented and not sticky. It sits very comfortable on the lips and it does dry a little, but in my opinion it dries to demi matte finish. The color stays put for hours, but it does transfer if you have a drink or kiss somebody. They best way I can think to describe these is something between a gloss and a lipstick. I just love these so much and I really want to try to get all 24 shades. (:

Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Palette Review and Swatches | All about bronze

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Today I am bringing to you a review on the Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Palette, All about bronze. You can find this palette on Ulta.com and Makeuprevolution.com. It retails for $10.00.

The first thing I noticed about this palette was that it said blush palette on the front. I thought that was a little strange, but if the product is good I can usually look past a packaging flaw. The actual product is what really matters right?

When I first opened the palette I was pretty excited because the colors look so pretty in the pan. You get a good range of colors and the lightest shade is a highlight.  These powders are pigmented, but slightly powdery. They do not blend very well and come off a little patchy.

My biggest issue with this palette is that most of these colors are way too orange to be used for bronzer. The only two that I can use are the two on the bottom right. As you can see these shades are very yellow and orange. I tried to use these powders and they do not look natural at all.  These may work for different skin tones than mine, but I have never seen anyone use colors like this for bronzer. I think these colors are more suitable for eyeshadow and I may use them for that.

So overall I was really disappointed with this palette. I have heard so many great things about the Makeup Revolution Contour palette that I expected this one to be great too, but it really missed the mark for me. Sadly, I would not recommend purchasing this palette. I hope you found this review helpful. If you have this palette what do you think of it? Thanks again for stopping by my blog!

June 2016 Beauty Favorites | Kiss & Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to share with you some of the products that I have been loving this month. Let's get started!

This is the Loreal Glam bronzer and it is my new favorite drugstore bronzer. I have mine in the lightest shade 01 light. This is a limited edition item, but I am still seeing it at my local Target. This bronzer is $14.99.

I just love that this bronzer has a more neutral tone and it does not make me look orange. It blends so easily and it has just the right amount of pigmentation so it's ok to actually put product on your brush. This is not a matte bronzer, but it isn't glittery either. I would say it has a satin finish. It kind of reminds me of Nars laguna bronzer, but I might like this one more. If you see this bronzer make sure you get it because it is amazing!

This next product is the Essence Lash Princess Falsh Lash Effect Mascara and you can find it at Ulta and Target. The best part about it is that it only costs 4.99!!! This mascara really gives you the look of false lashes. I was blown away the first time I used it and I can't stop using it! You do have to be a little careful because if you do too many layers it will clump, but other than that it is awesome. It doesn't transfer and I haven't noticed any flaking. It is not waterproof, but I am not a huge fan of waterproof mascara so that doesn't bother me. This mascara is one those drugstore hidden treasures!

Let's just take a second and talk about these Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolors. I think these are the best lip products at the drugstore.  The color I have been loving this month is Embrace. It is a peachy/pink nude and I love it! I have some other colors and want to do a full post with swatches soon, but I have been picking this one a lot this month.  The best way I can think to describe these is a cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss. They are smooth and creamy and apply beautifully.  They are just so good and you have to try them for yourself!!!

My next favorite is one that I have heard so many people talk about over the years but I have never purchased and that is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. I have the color fair. This concealer is beautiful. I started using it because I noticed that my under eye was very dry and making my Nars creamy concealer (that I love) look really cakey and extenuating my wrinkles. The Maybelline concealer looks so smooth and blends without sinking into any fine lines or wrinkles.

My arms are alot more tan that my face so this looks like it is too bright for skin tone, but it is only about one shade lighter. It conceals and brightens just a little. I love the color.

My last makeup favorite is the It Cosmetics CC+ Illuminator and let me tell you this stuff is awesome. It has spf 50 so it is amazing for the summer time. I apply it with my fingers or the Real Techniques expert face brush and it looks flawless. It cover redness and any blemishes I might have. I bought the illuminate version that does have very small glitters in it, but I really like that for summer. I plan to buy the regular version this winter. For some reason I feel like glitter all over your face is more acceptable in the summer..haha..

I LOVE that is has a pump! I wish all foundations, bb creams, and tinted moisturizers came with pumps!
My final favorite of the month is the Formula 10.0.6 Skin Brightening Peel Mask. I have never used a peel mask before and now I am addicted. I have been using this at least twice a week and I can really see a difference in my skin. It really cleans my skin and leaves it looking really glowy. You can buy this at Ulta for only 6.99! I really love this brand and I want to try all of their products!

I hope you enjoyed my June favorites! Let me know what you have been loving this month in the comments below!
