Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette | Review & Swatches

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I wanted to review this limited edition Tarte Make Believe in Yourself palette since it has gone on sale at Sephora.com. This palette is full price on tartecosmetics.com and Ulta.com so if you plan on purchasing it, I suggest the Sephora website. The palette is $40.00 but is now on sale for $30.00 through Sephora's website.

This palettes packaging is just beautiful. I love the pattern used on the cover and the gold on the inside it beautiful. I even love the shape of the eyeshadow pans. The packing is sturdy, which I like, and the mirror is very nice.

There are nine shimmery eyeshadows and one matte shadow. The highlight in the middle is intended for both cheek and eyes. I really like the range of shades and the matte shade is a nice color to use as a transition for any of the shimmers. I have noticed that the pigmentation of these shadows is hit or miss. The matte shade myth had great pigmentation with a brush as well as the middle highlight. I found that using a dry brush with shimmery shades gave very little pigmentation. If you wet your brush with a setting spray or use your finger then you can achieve that intense glittery pigmentation. I personally found that wetting my brush with some setting spray worked best.

I really like this palette because it adds some pops of color to my very neutral eyeshadow collection. If you are looking for some fun eyeshadows for summer I would definitely scoop this palette up while it is on sale! If you have any other products you would like me to review make sure to leave me a comment! (:
